What Does a Doula do?
- Provides physical and emotional support
- Assists in getting information for the client and partner in birth and labor, empowering them to ask questions and advocate for their care and choices
- Offer help, advice on comfort measures including relaxation, breathing, movement and positioning and may also comfort the client with touch, affirmations, warm baths or showers, etc. based on client needs and preference
According to Dona.org (2025) the most crucial role of the Doula may be providing continuous emotional support, and comfort. This is at the helm of what having a Doula would entail for you. If you need someone to help reassure you of your choices, ground you and or your support system in your desires for your birth, your Doula is the one in your corner helping you maintain that stability. These are the services I will provide to you when you chose me as your Doula. I look forward to our consultation.

Our founder Ashalee Malary started this business to improve the experience of expectant families having had varying experiences of care herself during labor and delivery. It is her belief that every family deserves to be supported and have the care desired within the construct of possibilities. She is a wife, a mother, a BSc. Business major, Masters Degree holder in Healthcare Administration, BEAM Birth Network Certified Doula Training, and a Licensed Practical Nurse.
